This figure, highlighted in a report by Capital Economics, underscores Deliveroo's pivotal role in bolstering the UK economy, with a £1.9 billion contribution in 2022 alone.

The analysis sheds light on the symbiotic relationship between Deliveroo and the hospitality industry, revealing that over 80% of restaurants partnering with delivery platforms have seen a revenue uptick, with nearly half reporting new job creation as a direct result.


This collaboration has not only facilitated restaurants in expanding their delivery services but has also spurred growth in in-store sales, with more than half of the establishments witnessing increased dine-in revenues due to the heightened visibility and reputation afforded by their online presence.


Furthermore, Deliveroo's influence extends to technological adoption within the sector. A significant 40% of merchants have integrated new digital tools into their operations, enhancing aspects such as customer analytics, marketing, and human resources management.


This digital leap, encouraged by Deliveroo's partnership, has equipped businesses with the confidence to navigate and thrive in the digital landscape.

A testament to Deliveroo's positive impact is the success story of Unagi Streetfood & Sushi in Manchester. Since its inception in 2020, Unagi has expanded to five locations, attributing its growth and increased brand awareness to its exclusive partnership with Deliveroo. This collaboration has enabled Unagi to reach new customers and significantly boost its revenue.
