Thursday 4th November saw the vey first year of FPC Future and FPC Careers, jointly held at the Lincolnshire Showground.
The events successfully lifted the lid on the new innovations that are set to shape the future of our food supply. Developed by the FPC in partnership with the University of Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology (LIAT) the events were supported by Innovation Partner, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
With hundreds attending, there were numerous exhibition working displays, along with five audience theatres packed with key speakers covering all aspects of agritech innovation, including farm robotics and data driven tech.
Chief executive of the FPC, Nigel Jenney said: "The UK food supply chain is facing numerous challenges across the board, prompting the industry to push forward with ambitious developments to guarantee its competitiveness and longevity for business and consumers alike.
"Thankfully, developments in agritech are evolving rapidly, thanks to innovations such as artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, vertical farming and data analytics.
"We wanted to provide a fantastic opportunity for suppliers and innovators to demonstrate these world leaving advances in technology to propel the industry to greatness and, from the feedback we've received today, I'm confident that we've delivered.
