After 17 years of successful operations, PML will be showcasing the evolution of their brand and promoting their innovative new trailer equipment at this year’s Fruit Logitica, which starts tomorrow, 5 February.
Freshtalk Daily had the opportunity to speak with Nick Finbow, PML's Sales Director about their decision to take a stand there for the first time.
“After 17 years we thought it was the right time, so we’ve re-branded and relaunched with a new image that showcases our core message of ‘By Air By Sea By Road’."
And things have certainly changed over those seventeen years, as Nick went on to explain.
“The days of when you could just clear freight and collect it on any type of vehicle those days have gone, which is why we’ve invested in new ‘first of their kind’ purpose-built trailer equipment”
"The unique motorised roller-bed trailers mean our drivers won’t need to enter the vehicle ensuring high levels of health and safety. And because of the controlled speed there is less change of damage to pallets, ensuring that their quality is preserved."
“We’re very proud of our BRC accreditations and that we can now offer a product to our customers which allows them to keep their goods in the cool chain.
“The trailers will also keep their temperature even with the doors open, which is pretty amazing," Nick added.
In terms of the changes that Brexit will bring to the industry “there’ll be none this year, according to HMRC” said Nick “but we’ll have to wait and see how this will pan out in the future.”
Asked for any advice he could give to customers regarding possible future changes Nick explained “The important thing that both importers and exporters must do to ensure a smooth transition is to make sure that they have everything in place, and we’re here to help.
