The launch in Belfast marks the first time customers can shop from Iceland on Amazon in Northern Ireland.

The roll-out to more UK cities forms part of Amazon's expansion of its online grocery partnerships with Iceland, Morrisons, and Co-op.

“This extension of our partnership with Amazon means that we can serve even more communities nationwide with Iceland's quality products, all with the convenience of Amazon's shopping experience,” explained Tarsem Dhaliwal, chief executive of Iceland Foods.

“For Northern Ireland in particular, we're proud to be the first grocery partner to offer a service like this through Amazon's platform.”

The move follows last year's closure of the entire Amazon Fresh store network in the UK, five of which Tesco revealed this week will reopen as Tesco Express stores before the summer.

Expanding The Online Grocery Reach

In 2026 Amazon is on track to more than double the number of Amazon UK Prime members who have access to three or more online grocery delivery options through its partnerships with Morrisons, Iceland, Co-op, and delivery service Gopuff.

The US technology giant said in a news statement that its goal is to reach more than 80% of UK Prime members with access to at least one grocery partner.

Amazon recently launched Amazon Now, which the company claims can deliver thousands of groceries and household essentials in about 30 minutes or less to customers in eligible London postcodes.

According to Amazon, millions of UK customers use Amazon to buy groceries and everyday essentials, shopping from a selection of over 2m products from cupboard staples and fresh produce to cleaning and beauty items

“We're continually working to give customers more choice, value, and flexibility in how they shop for groceries,” pointed out Russell Jones, director of Amazon Grocery Partnerships.

“More customers across the UK can now choose from a wide range of Iceland groceries and household essentials, with a range of convenient, fast delivery options.”

Customers in eligible cities and the surrounding areas can shop for thousands of Iceland products directly through Amazon.co.uk or the Amazon app; choose convenient delivery options, including same-day and next-day delivery; and enjoy free delivery with Prime membership on eligible orders.

Iceland on Amazon is available at Amazon.co.uk/iceland and via the Amazon app.
