Fresh Direct, the UK’s leading fresh produce supplier to the foodservice industry, has unveiled 25 new products as part of its highly anticipated summer season launch.

British-grown produce takes centre stage, including the extension of Fresh Direct’s premium tomato range through the introduction of Mixed Heritage Tomatoes from Isle of Wight Tomatoes. Also debuting this season is a vertically-grown, British-produced Zesty Salad bag, joining the supplier’s seasonal campaign, aptly named Taste Like Summer.

Among the vibrant additions to the range are round courgettes and purple sweet potatoes, reinforcing the company’s commitment to variety and seasonal freshness.

In response to rising employment costs within the hospitality sector, Fresh Direct has also prioritised convenience, unveiling a number of labour-saving products designed to support busy kitchens. These include Cajun Spiced Sweet Potato Cubes, Honey and Rosemary Carrot and Parsnip Strips, as well as ready-to-serve Mango and Pineapple Fingers.

“We’ve got a proud record of bringing innovation to the fresh produce sector,” said Andy Pembroke, managing director of Fresh Direct.

“We’ve launched more than 80 new fresh produce products in the past year providing a wealth of menu opportunities to thousands of caterers.

“And with the introduction of several products which will make life easier in the kitchen, our new season launch has something for everyone,” he added.

The summer launch is the latest move in Fresh Direct’s ongoing mission to offer creative, high-quality and convenient fresh produce solutions for the UK foodservice sector.
