Fresh produce took centre stage at this year’s FarmFest event, where growers and suppliers showcased the strength, quality and innovation of the UK horticulture sector to thousands of visitors.

Among the highlights was a visit from television presenter and food personality Matt Tebbutt, who stopped by the British Tomatoes stand to meet grower Simon Conway and learn more about the sector’s work.

The event provided a platform for the fresh produce industry to connect directly with farmers, retailers, suppliers and consumers, while also demonstrating the importance of British-grown produce within the wider agricultural landscape.

FarmFest featured a broad range of exhibitors from across the farming and food supply chain, with fresh produce businesses using the opportunity to promote seasonal products, innovation and sustainability initiatives.

The showcase comes at a time when the industry continues to highlight the importance of supporting domestic production, investment and long-term food security.

The event also reinforced growing public interest in provenance, seasonal produce and the people behind British farming.
