Amazon has rolled out 15-minute grocery deliveries to cities across the UK after striking a national partnership with rapid delivery firm GoPuff.

The ultra-fast service — first trialled in Birmingham and Salford in May — is now available in cities including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff, Bristol and Sheffield.
Amazon customers can now order groceries, cleaning products, baby supplies and alcohol 24/7 via the retailer’s website or app, with delivery speeds of as little as 15 minutes in some areas.
The move is powered by GoPuff’s network of micro-fulfilment centres, strategically located close to customers to enable near-instant delivery.
Amazon’s director of grocery partnerships Russell Jones said: “Partnering with GoPuff and other grocery partners is an important way of offering Amazon customers their favourite stores and brands, ordered via our website.
“The new launch with GoPuff brings our customers access to a convenient and affordable way to access their everyday groceries.”
The tie-up adds to the online giant’s gowing roster of grocery partners, including Morrisons, Co-op and Iceland, as the ecommerce giant steps up its focus on convenience and speed in the competitive grocery market.
