UK meal-kit provider Gousto has reported a marked increase in sales after expanding its next-day delivery service — a strategic shift it describes as a “major milestone”.

The company’s latest update confirms that as it broadened next-day delivery availability, it saw higher customer acquisition and retention, signalling that faster fulfilment is resonating with consumers.
Gousto says this expansion sits at the heart of its ambition to “challenge the supermarkets” and carve out a position as a convenient alternative for dinner-time solutions.
Despite economic headwinds, the meal-kit provider achieved double-digit sales growth of 11 per cent in the first half of 2025, reaching revenue of £180 million for the six-month period to 30 June. It now aims for full-year growth of between 5 and 10 per cent.
Gousto’s leadership highlights the next-day delivery service as key to its reinvigorated growth strategy, complementing its wider repositioning from simply being a meal-kit provider to being a direct challenger to supermarkets when consumers ask: “What’s for dinner?”
As the business scales its rapid-fulfilment capability, it signals that convenience and speed are becoming increasingly central to its customer offering — not just the recipes themselves.
That combination, Gousto believes, will allow it to gain share in the fiercely competitive grocery and meal-solution market.
