With industry spirits high following FPC's major industry victory after year's of lobbying, there’s never been a better time to celebrate excellence in fresh produce.

The Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) has officially extended the deadline for entries to the FPC Fresh Awards 2025 to Wednesday 12 June, giving businesses and individuals more time to claim the recognition they deserve.

The extension follows huge demand – and comes hot on the heels of a landmark win for the sector, as the UK Government confirmed that planned post-Brexit border checks on medium-risk fruit and vegetables from the EU will now be delayed until 31 January 2027.

This hard-fought exemption, delivered solely by FPC after years of lobbying and sustained media pressure, is expected to ease operational burdens and protect supply chains across the UK.

“It’s a turning point for our industry,” said FPC Chief Executive Nigel Jenney. “And that makes the FPC Fresh Awards 2025 an even more important moment to recognise, reward, and celebrate the outstanding people and businesses that drive our success.”

The awards are free to enter, and entrants are welcome to submit for as many categories as they wish. From Grower of the Year to Sustainability Excellence and Best Supermarket Floral & Plant Supplier, the awards showcase innovation, dedication, and performance across the entire supply chain.

Winners will be honoured at a glamorous black-tie ceremony in London this September, attended by leading figures from retail, supply, logistics, and beyond.

Entries close at midnight on Wednesday 12 June. Don’t miss this chance to raise your profile and be celebrated at the industry’s most anticipated event of the year.
