Rising Global Demand for Interko's Advanced Optimo Ripening Rooms

Interko, a global leader in fresh fruit ripening technology, is experiencing a surge in demand for its entry-level Optimo ripening room, with over 30 installations in progress worldwide.



Optimo’s energy efficiency, flexibility, and affordability have made it a popular choice among premium retailers and food suppliers. Key orders include 10 rooms for French retailer Grand Frais in the Netherlands, four for bananas in Aruba, two for avocados in Kenya, and four for avocados in Asia.


Fine Fruit Company is working with Interko to install 10 rooms for avocados and mangoes in the Netherlands. “Interko’s professionalism and personal touch ensured that the Optimo room was the perfect choice,” commented Director Almir Dedovic.


Geerlofs, a fresh produce storage specialist, is installing two Optimo rooms in Kenya, while Aruba’s Compra Aruba chose Interko after seeing the technology in action.


Optimo features cutting-edge airflow systems, including REVERSO 2.0 fans, ensuring even ripening and low energy consumption. The system’s flexibility allows ripeners to adjust energy usage according to demand, reducing costs.
