Several leading UK supermarkets have rolled out deep Easter discounts on British-grown vegetables, with key seasonal produce slashed to just 8p in a bid to make traditional Easter meals more affordable for families.

Morrisons kicked off the seasonal savings on 14 April 2025, offering 1kg bags of British carrots, 500g packs of parsnips, and whole swedes for only 8p each — but the offer is exclusive to More Card loyalty members. Shoppers can also snap up 2kg bags of 'The Best' potatoes for £1.10, less than half the usual price. The promotion runs until 20 April and is designed to provide high-quality fresh produce at unbeatable prices during the Easter period.

Asda followed suit on 15 April with a broader offer that’s available to all customers, no loyalty card required. Running through to 21 April, Asda’s campaign includes 1kg of carrots, one swede, 360g of broccoli, 500g of parsnips, and 2kg of potatoes — all priced at just 8p each. The move is part of the retailer’s ongoing commitment to delivering market-leading value, especially around key family occasions like Easter.

Aldi also joined the price-cutting trend, offering 1kg bags of carrots at 8p, while broccoli, loose garlic, white potatoes, and spring onions are priced at 15p each. Cucumbers are available for 59p. Aldi’s deals run from 15 to 19 April.

Lidl is reportedly price-matching the other major retailers, giving its customers access to similarly low prices on seasonal veg. While exact details and dates have not been confirmed, Lidl shoppers can expect comparable offers in-store.
