California-based Taylor Farms, a family-owned business and major producer of salads, vegetable blends and meal kits, announced the deal at the start of November. The company said the acquisition aligns with its mission to deliver fresh, healthy and convenient food products to consumers globally.

Natures Way Foods, founded in 1994 and headquartered in Chichester, employs around 1,300 people and supplies leading UK retailers and foodservice providers with bagged salads, coleslaw, prepared vegetables and fresh deli-style products. The company has grown into a significant force in the UK prepared-salad and convenience category.

Under the terms of the deal, Natures Way Foods’ existing leadership and workforce will remain in place. Both companies say they will collaborate to share expertise in food safety, quality, innovation and sustainability while working to accelerate product development to meet rising consumer demand for fresh and healthy convenience foods.

Natures Way Foods’ chief executive described the acquisition as an exciting step that brings access to Taylor Farms’ global experience and resources, while maintaining a commitment to delivering high-quality fresh food to UK customers.

The move marks a notable expansion for Taylor Farms into the European market and underscores accelerating consolidation in the fresh-prepared and convenience segment, driven by growing demand for healthier, ready-to-eat solutions. Both businesses expect the partnership to support further innovation and growth in the category.
