The Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) is delighted to announce that national TV favourite Chris Bavin will take to the stage as host of the FPC Fresh Awards 2025, held on Friday 26 September at the iconic Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Bringing star power and industry clout in equal measure, Chris is a familiar face to millions thanks to hit TV shows including Eat Well for Less and Britain’s Best Home Cook. But before his rise to stardom, Chris cut his teeth in the fresh produce trade, co-founding the award-winning Naked Grocer, where he was a champion of fresh, local produce and twice winner of National Independent Retailer of the Year.
As someone who knows the industry from the shop floor to the studio lights, Chris is perfectly placed to host a night that celebrates the very best of the fresh produce, plant, and floral supply chain. His trademark wit, warmth, and energy are sure to bring sparkle to the evening’s proceedings, as we spotlight excellence, innovation, and resilience across the sector.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Chris Bavin as our host for the Fresh Awards 25,” said FPC Chief Executive Nigel Jenney. “Chris brings real heart to everything he does. He understands our industry inside out and has a unique ability to connect with audiences.”
Chris responded: “I’m absolutely delighted and truly honoured to be hosting this incredible event! Having spent over 25 years working in the world of flowers and fresh produce, it means so much to be part of a celebration that recognises the very best in our industry.
"Winning the Fresh Awards’ Independent Retailer of the Year award was a turning point that set me on the path to my media career – so to now return as host feels like coming full circle in the most wonderful way.”
“I can’t wait to see you all!” Chris added.
With nominations for the 2025 awards already flooding in, this year’s ceremony is shaping up to be the most spectacular yet. The glittering black-tie gala will recognise stand-out individuals, pioneering businesses, and ground-breaking initiatives across multiple award categories.
