Despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the country’s blueberry industry is continuing to expand.

A major step forward has been the establishment of the Ukrainian Blueberry Growers Association, which currently unites 16 leading producers cultivating a combined 850 hectares of blueberries.

Formed as a platform for professional dialogue, the association aims to bolster the domestic and international presence of Ukrainian blueberries. Its key objectives include building stable supply chains for retail and export, raising production standards, and adapting to the new realities of farming during wartime.

The association also has a strong international focus, identifying opportunities for Ukrainian blueberries in global markets and working to maintain vital trade relations despite current challenges. Producers have reported that demand from foreign buyers remains stable and that fruit quality continues to meet high international standards.

A representative for the association stated that continued communication and outreach are essential for maintaining Ukraine’s market position. The organisation also promotes the adoption of modern cultivation practices and alignment with global certification standards.

In addition to improving retail access and providing market intelligence, the association supports its members with technical assistance and training. Raising expertise within the sector and promoting environmental sustainability and responsible farming practices are also high on the agenda.

The strength of Ukraine’s blueberry sector was on show at Fruit Logistica 2025 in Berlin, where Ukrainian growers attracted considerable attention from international buyers and partners. The trade fair remains one of the most influential events for the global fresh produce industry.

The founding members of the Ukrainian Blueberry Growers Association represent various regions of the country. Companies include: Artberry LLC, Blue Berry LLC, Family Garden LLC, Orniberry LLC, Berry Hills Farm, Tarasiv Obriy Farm, Green Farm, Grass Avenue Farm, Laski Farm, VIAN 2021 LLC, Agro Frutica Byshkiv LLC, Organic Garden LLC, Vitamin UA LLC, Zakhar-Sad Farm, Agromix Zakarpattia, and Nikdaria LLC.

The association remains open to additional producers who are committed to developing their export potential, raising standards, and contributing to the long-term growth of Ukraine’s blueberry sector.
